Who We Are

C3E3
Creating
Through Christ, God is creating a community that worships Him. This is a work in progress. He still desires to bring more people into His kingdom. We are committed to that task. |
Christ-focused
In Christ, we are forgiven, transformed, and brought into a relationship with God. Every aspect of godliness has Christ as its center and focus. |
Community
We are people who love God and love each other, living this new Christ-focused life together. |
Encountering
Christ came to seek and save the lost. He encounters us. This leads to a life-time of seeking after him to know him more deeply and fully. |
Encouraging
The Christ-focused life is about community. We are to build each other up with our words, our actions, our thoughts, and our prayers. We desire to bless and see each other grow in Christ. |
Engaging
We are called by God to the task of making him known and bringing others into the community. We want every person to have a real opportunity to hear about Jesus and commit to him. We are committed to being personal witnesses for Jesus in our daily lives, missions, and community outreach. |
OUR CORE VALUES
At thechurch@cedarcreek, five core passions describe who we are and drive everything we do. These are:
Jesus Connection
We know that Jesus is the source of all life, joy, wisdom, and meaning. We desire to be connected to God through Jesus Christ in our daily lives and invite others to join us. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life," John 14:6. |
Life Change
We are people who want more out of life. The abundant life is only possible as God transforms us. "You have stripped off your old nature and all its wicked deeds. In its place you have clothed yourselves with a brand-new nature that is continually being renewed as you learn more and more about CHrist who created this new nature within you," Colossians 3:9. |
God's Word
We believe that God still speaks and people need to hear Him. Hearing and obeying God brings guidance and spiritual nourishment. "Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path," Psalm 119:105. |
Relationships
Relationships are at the heart of the Christ-focused life. Because God loves us, we want our relationships to reflect His grace. "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you," Ephesians 4:32. |
Giftedness
We have been uniquely designed by God for creative, meaningful, and joyful service. We are happiest and the community of faith functions best when we work with the special gifts God has given us. "A spiritual gift is given to each of us as a means of helping the entire church," 1 Corinthians 12:7. |
